Joan Pañell Fernández de Liencres was born in 1998 in Barcelona, Spain. He currently lives there, and works in an industrial unit sharing space with other fellow artists. Joan is a self-taught artists and has been painting since 2020.
How did you get into art?
Art captivated me early on, a journey sparked by childhood curiosity and evolved through self-discovery, gradually becoming an essential means of expression.
How would you describe your style? What makes your work special?
My style intertwines vibrant colors and dynamic brushstrokes, creating a visceral experience. Its uniqueness lies in the fusion of emotions and abstract forms, inviting viewers to explore their own interpretations.
How do you go about developing your work?
Development involves an organic process, a dance between intuition and technique. Each piece begins with a spark – a feeling, a thought – and unfolds through layers, constantly evolving until it resonates with the envisioned essence.
Who or what influences you?
Artists like Cy Twombly inspire, but daily life, emotions, and the interconnectedness of existence also play a pivotal role.
