Margret Trimborn
Margret Trimborn's abstract work includes large-format, dynamic, expressive and colour-intensive multi-part works on canvas as well as delicate, often monochrome small formats on paper using printing techniques such as monotype. The different formats and painting grounds in particular reflect the emotionality and intuition of the artist in her creative process. She therefore succeeds in mastering the balancing act between the different techniques with playful ease.
Margret Trimborn mainly works in larger series when using printing techniques, but even when working on canvas, she usually creates two to three pictures in parallel, which, according to the artist, communicate with and inspire each other during the creation process. At the beginning there is always the decision about format, painting surface, technique and colour palette. And of course there is the idea for the respective work or series, although the work increasingly ‘takes over’ the direction in which the picture develops as the process progresses. What Trimborn appreciates most about her approach is that she is constantly able to adapt and react to the new state of the work. Surprise and excitement guaranteed!
