Katarina Ekelund, born and raised on the west coast of Sweden. Educated at Konstfack in Stockholm. Has had several solo exhibitions at artgalleries, participated in many juried group exhibitions. Has her studio in a church in Munkedal, Sweden.

Katarinas paintings are poetry, visual poetry. They spring from her inner self., all her experience she have accumulated over the years. Try to create the unreachable beyond the completely understandable. An image to contemplate over. Understand something but at the same time wonder, why, what does it mean, get new thoughts. Simply poetry!

She constantly try to strive for a better expression, to be brave, not hesitate, to surprise even herself when she create.
