Noah Solleder was born 2004 in Friedberg near Augsburg, and he grew up in the south of Munich. Now he lives in Munich and works in his atelier near the lake Chiemsee between the mountains where he spent a lot of his time. For more than two years Noah has been concerned with the topics of nature and the environment and works with materials such as beeswax. Before that he worked purely with fineliner and pencil.Since when do you paint and what are your favorite motives?
Since I can think I draw and create. But I discovered art like this when I was a teenager. My parents had separated, and many things changed. For me art is something like a therapy. A medium where I can process all my thoughts. And there are really many of them.
Lines and not definable forms are two things that I enjoy working with.
When you create a new work, how do you proceed? What comes first?
That is very different. I don’t begin my works always in the same way. Either there is a predetermined shape, such as melted wax, which I then continue to work with. Or I start everything with a single stroke that I place on the work. From what do you get your motivation?
I never have to motivate myself, it's more of an urge to create something and to process all the events that are happening all the time.Your life without art would be...
way too much overstimulated.
What is the best art place in your city at the moment?
If there is one in Munich, unfortunately I haven't really found it yet.Instagram
