Mimi’s practice is predominantly rooted in improvisation, driven by a desire to explore and expand the limitations of space. In addition to her painting, she creates installations and sculptures from a diverse range of materials, resulting in suspended objects and literal cement floors. As she puts it, her work is all about “occupying space without taking its place.”
